In a professional world that is constantly changing, with accelerated digitalisation, hybridisation of teams and increasing demands for well-being at work and collective performance, local management skills have never been so decisive. And yet, in Switzerland as elsewhere, the role of team leader remains one of the few positions of responsibility for which there is no initial professional training: people become team leaders through experience, sometimes out of necessity, rarely through structured preparation. It is precisely to fill this gap that the Swiss Association for Executive Training (ASFC) has introduced the Federal Certificate of Qualification as a Team Leader Specialist: a protected qualification, recognised by the Confederation and certified by the SEFRI, which officially validates the leadership and management skills that are essential for any manager in close proximity.
For companies, having managers trained in team leadership techniques represents a direct competitive advantage, reducing staff turnover, improving the working climate, better achieving objectives and strengthening internal cohesion. For individuals, this certificate represents federal recognition of their cross-disciplinary skills, valid in all sectors of the economy, and opens the way to concrete hierarchical advancement. Obtaining this certificate means transforming an often intuitive practice into nationally recognised, certified expertise.
