Why Switzerland is an ideal place for a career change

The Swiss education system is one of the most flexible in Europe. Switzerland leads the way in education thanks to the way the various levels – initial, tertiary and continuing education – complement one another, and to its strong practical focus. Furthermore, the costs of retraining are deductible income up to CHF 12,500 for cantonal tax and CHF 13,000 for direct federal tax per year. In other words, even the Swiss cantons encourage professional mobility.

Where to start?

Before choosing your course, ask yourself two questions: in which sector can your current skills be put to good use?
And what salary would allow you to maintain your standard of living?
In Switzerland, a gradual transition – whether on a part-time basis or whilst continuing in one’s current job – remains a viable option for undertaking training without any loss of income.

At OSAM Formation, we help you put together this transition plan step by step: skills assessment, choosing a qualification pathway, and support with funding. Because a successful career change is one that’s been properly planned.
