Context and issues

The Swiss automotive market is undergoing a profound transformation: new propulsion systems (electric, hybrid, hydrogen), hyper-informed customers before they even step through the garage door, digitalisation of the purchasing process and growing pressure on margins. Faced with increasingly well-informed customers and constantly evolving powertrain concepts, sales staff are faced with new challenges at every stage of the process, from first contact to handing over the keys.

In this context, technical expertise is no longer enough: today's automotive sales advisor must combine mobility advice, financial expertise, knowledge of insurance and marketing practices to offer solutions that are truly tailored to each customer. The Federal Motor Sales Adviser Certificate validates these skills at the highest level of Swiss higher vocational training. It sends out a strong signal to employers, providing official recognition of the salesperson's expertise, and a solid basis on which to move into sales management or executive positions.
